On December 19, the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) in Telangana successfully arrested six individuals involved in drug trafficking. These operations were conducted simultaneously across Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Warangal, in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies. The coordinated efforts led to the confiscation of various illicit substances and vehicles, signaling a significant blow to drug distribution in the region.
In Warangal district, three individuals were apprehended with 80 grams of ganja. Simultaneously, in Cyberabad, a separate operation in Miyapur led to the arrest of one peddler with 250 grams of ganja, with suspected ties to an inter-state smuggling ring. The state task force also arrested two individuals in First Lancer, seizing cocaine and MDMA, and uncovering links to organized crime groups utilizing African couriers and hawala transactions.
Further investigations are actively underway to trace the complete network of suppliers and end-users associated with these arrests. EAGLE has urged the public to report any drug-related activities through its confidential toll-free helpline, emphasizing its commitment to combating drug abuse within the state.
