Teens Hospitalized After Violent E-Bike Robbery in Melbourne

On Monday, November 13th, 2025, two 13-year-old boys were the victims of a brutal attack and robbery on the Koonung Creek Trail in Doncaster East, Melbourne. The incident occurred just after 5 pm, as the teenagers were riding their electric motorcycles along the popular walking trail.

According to Victoria Police, the boys were approached by two unknown males who launched a sudden and violent assault. One of the victims was assaulted and had his e-bike stolen, but managed to flee on foot with minor injuries. The second boy attempted to escape on his own e-bike but crashed into a wall near the Blackburn Road underpass, suffering serious injuries including skull fractures, a broken nose, and a broken leg.

The alleged offenders caught up with the injured boy and stole his motorcycle before fleeing east along the trail. Senior Constable Liam Webb described the incident as "quite deplorable," stating that the suspects left the boy in pain without rendering any assistance.

Detectives from the Manningham Crime Investigation Unit are now searching for the two suspects, who are believed to be around 15 years old. They are described as Caucasian, approximately 165cm tall, and were wearing black ski masks and trackpants during the attack.
