Kyle Traffic Stop Uncovers Major Theft Ring

Three teenagers have been arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity after a traffic stop in Kyle. The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Nathaniel Montalvo of Kyle and 17-year-olds Eduardo De Jesus Ramirez of Austin and Jorge Sanchez of Manor, were stopped by police on Wednesday.
During the stop, officers found 14 stolen credit cards, three stolen checks, two driver's licenses, and a "distributable amount" of THC vape pens within the vehicle. The teens reportedly confessed to stealing guns and multiple vehicles the previous night in the Spicewood area, approximately 35 miles west of Austin.
In addition to organized crime charges, the teens face counts of credit card abuse, unlawful weapon carrying, and fraudulent use of identifying information. Montalvo also faces charges related to evading arrest and controlled substance possession, while De Jesus Ramirez and Sanchez face drug-related charges. Kyle police are collaborating with the Travis County Sheriff's Office on the ongoing investigation.
