14 Dec, 2025
Summary
- Three teenagers detained after police stop a vehicle for traffic violations.
- Officers recovered two Glock firearms modified with illegal auto-switches.
- Marijuana and the modified firearms were found during a vehicle search.

College Station Police initiated a traffic stop for multiple violations near Post Oak Mall, leading to a pursuit. The suspects attempted to evade officers by driving behind the store, during which two firearms were discarded from the vehicle. The vehicle was eventually stopped, and three individuals were taken into custody.
Upon recovery, the firearms were identified as Glock handguns equipped with illegal "switches." These devices convert handguns into fully-automatic weapons, significantly increasing their lethality. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of marijuana.
The arrested individuals are Ladarious Johnson, 18, charged with marijuana possession; Dutaveon Rashad Rogers, 18, charged with two counts of prohibited weapon and tampering with evidence; and Brandon Turner, 19, charged with fleeing and interference with public duties. The department emphasized its commitment to removing illegal weapons from the streets.
