A 19-year-old man, identified as Khadfi Fleming, is a significant person of interest in the June murder of a Penn State University student. The fatal incident occurred on June 6 at approximately 1:30 a.m. during an armed robbery attempt. The student, who was reportedly robbed and then shot, was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after.
Fleming is also allegedly involved in the theft of a green Dodge Charger belonging to an off-duty police officer. This vehicle theft is believed to have occurred around the same time as the student's murder. Police observed a red Lexus and a dark SUV prior to the shooting and theft.
The victim was a journalism student at Penn State World Campus, expecting to graduate in December. Reports indicate he was robbed after watching the NBA Finals with friends. Fleming's 16-year-old brother was also reportedly involved in the June incidents and has since turned himself in to the police.
