Teen Dies After Mother Denies Playtime

A distressing incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Beed district on Sunday, where a 15-year-old boy reportedly died by suicide. The tragedy struck in the Kaij area after the teenager's mother advised him against playing outside due to high temperatures. He was urged to wait until after 4 pm to go out with his friend.
Distraught by the refusal, especially in front of his peer, the boy retreated to his parents' bedroom and locked the door. He allegedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan. His mother, initially occupied with household duties, raised an alarm when she found the bedroom door locked around 1:30 pm.
Neighbours intervened, forced entry, and found the boy unresponsive. He was transported to the sub-district hospital in Kaij. Due to his critical state, medical personnel directed him to a government hospital in Ambajogai. Sadly, he passed away during the journey to this facility. The Kaij police have initiated an investigation into the event.
