A British teenager, Theo Wright, 18, is recovering after a brutal stabbing in Tenerife. The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 17, as Theo chased a thief who had snatched a friend's mobile phone in Playa de las Americas.
He sustained stab wounds to the neck and lung and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Thankfully, Theo is now expected to recover fully but is unable to fly home for at least two weeks.
His mother has traveled to be by his side, and a GoFundMe page has been set up to help with her expenses. Police are still searching for the knifeman, and no arrests have been made.
