A brutal murder and dismemberment occurred in Gujarat's Kutch district, stemming from intense jealousy over a romantic entanglement. The alleged assailant, a 19-year-old named Kishore Maheshwari, is accused of killing his friend, Ramesh Maheshwari, and then concealing the body.
The crime, which took place on the night of December 2, was uncovered following a missing person report filed by the victim's brother. Police investigation revealed Ramesh was involved with a married woman, Anjali, who had informed Ramesh about Kishore's unwanted advances. This fueled Kishore's jealousy, leading to the fatal confrontation.
Kishore confessed to the murder and led police to various burial sites. With the assistance of a minor, he dismembered Ramesh's body, discarding some parts in borewells and burying the torso. Efforts were made to destroy evidence, including burning the murder weapon and attempting to mislead authorities.
