A teenager has been sentenced to a young offender's institute for three years and four months after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of Paul Lawrence. The 51-year-old father of three died following an assault that occurred on January 28, 2024, in Gladonian Road, Littlehampton, West Sussex.
The 17-year-old defendant, from Bognor Regis, entered his plea at Portsmouth Crown Court. The investigation was marked by the significant strength and courage shown by Mr. Lawrence's family. Authorities hope the conclusion of this case offers them a measure of closure.

Another teenager was previously convicted in relation to the incident for separate offenses, including sending offensive messages and cannabis possession.
