Jackson Uwagboe, a 19-year-old, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 21-year-old Robert Robinson. The crime occurred on June 6, 2024, in Deptford, south-east London. Uwagboe was convicted at the Old Bailey on February 10, 2026.
Robinson was subjected to a brutal and sustained knife attack, receiving 12 serious stab wounds. He died at the scene. Uwagboe fled the country immediately after the murder.
Two other individuals, Ryan Wedderburn and Kirk Harris, were previously convicted of Robinson's murder in May 2025 and received life sentences with minimum terms of 23 and 22 years and nine months, respectively.
Uwagboe returned to the UK on February 25, 2025, and was apprehended at Gatwick Airport. He received a minimum sentence of 21 years for murder, robbery, and possession of a bladed article. The investigation leader noted the verdicts bring justice for Robinson and his family.
