A 19-year-old named Ishaaq Hurayrah has received a seven-year and two-month jail sentence for a violent incident on June 14, 2025. Hurayrah used his Toyota Corolla as a weapon, first ramming two cyclists, Nurridin Jama and Adam Gogarty, off the road in Bethnal Green.
Following these attacks, Hurayrah then reversed his car into Leon Callander, who had pursued him. He proceeded to stamp on Mr. Callander's head. Both cyclists and the driver sustained significant injuries, including fractured bones, vertebrae, and head trauma.
Hurayrah claimed he mistook the victims for rival gang members due to his past experiences. The judge described his actions as an unprovoked and senseless spree, using the car as a highly dangerous weapon. He was also disqualified from driving for seven years.
