A man is accused of fatally striking a teenager and then confessing in a voicemail moments later. Frank Moneger, 58, faces charges of dangerous driving causing death and leaving the scene after allegedly hitting 17-year-old Olivia Chivers.
Olivia died on Margate Parade in southeast Queensland after being struck by a ute. Court documents allege Moneger sent a voicemail stating, "I just killed someone. She's dead." He was later arrested at his home.
Olivia's family remembers her as a creative and resilient young woman, deeply loved and tragically taken just a month before her 18th birthday. Police continue their investigation and are seeking information.
