Teen Driver Accused of Murder in 12-Car Las Vegas Pileup

A 19-year-old driver, Jose Gutierrez, has been charged with murder following a horrific 12-vehicle collision in Las Vegas. Authorities allege Gutierrez intentionally slammed his vehicle into multiple cars stopped at a red light. The crash resulted in the deaths of three people, including Gutierrez's 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend, Adilene Duran Rincon, and another victim, Edward Garcia, 38. A third victim, Vanessa Lainez Vasquez, 25, later succumbed to her critical injuries.

Released body camera footage depicts the chaotic aftermath, with bystanders and first responders working to rescue survivors from the mangled vehicles. The debris-strewn intersection highlighted the immense force of the collision, which occurred as Gutierrez was reportedly traveling at triple-digit speeds in a 45 mph zone. A vape pen was found, and he exhibited signs of impairment, though not intoxication.
