A 13-year-old boy faced court on February 27, 2026, in connection with a violent assault that occurred at Kingsbury High School in Brent, north-west London, on February 10. The teenager, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and unlawfully administering a noxious substance to a third child. He also faces a charge for possession of a knife on school premises.
During the court appearance, it was stated that the boy allegedly armed himself with insect spray and a kitchen knife, and recorded the events on his mobile phone. He is accused of spraying one child in the face with insect spray before stabbing another child in the neck inside a classroom. A third child was subsequently attacked and stabbed in the neck in the playground. The defendant evaded detection for approximately three hours before his apprehension by police.
Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb has scheduled a plea hearing for July 3. The boy has been remanded into custody.
