A teacher who sent inappropriate messages to a vulnerable pupil has been banned indefinitely from the classroom. Kaodi O'Loughlin Campbell, 34, previously taught at Elmwood School in Walsall, a special needs institution, between September 2021 and May 2022.
After leaving the school, Campbell began communicating with a former pupil via social media in January 2023. The pupil reported the contact in October 2023, triggering an investigation.
Investigators found messages where Campbell expressed liking the pupil and instructed him to delete their conversations. She initially denied any communication but later admitted to unacceptable professional conduct and bringing the profession into disrepute.
