Authorities in Utah have confirmed an ongoing investigation into a third alleged domestic violence incident involving reality TV personality Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen. The West Jordan Police Department received information from Mortensen in February 2026 concerning an incident that occurred in 2024. Due to jurisdictional reasons, the case was referred from the Draper Police Department.
Investigators are currently reviewing multiple videos related to the alleged 2024 incident to reconstruct the sequence of events. While they have spoken with Paul's attorney, they have yet to speak directly with Paul, requesting either a written statement or an interview. Both Paul and Mortensen have reportedly declined to comment on the matter.
The investigation comes after a video surfaced showing Paul throwing metal chairs at Mortensen in front of their daughter, Indy. This incident, along with others, prompted ABC to cancel the new season of "The Bachelorette," stating their focus is on supporting the family.
Paul's representative stated that she has endured years of abuse and is now taking steps to address the situation, prioritizing her family's safety. The representative indicated that Paul, after years of silence due to fear of retaliation, is exploring her options and seeking support to share her story.
