A man, aged 53, has been rescued following a dramatic police operation after being allegedly kidnapped and held hostage for two days. The incident began Tuesday morning in Mount Pritchard, western Sydney, when the man was reportedly bundled into a vehicle.
On Thursday morning, strike force officers located the man at a property in Dural, approximately 30km away. He was freed during a covert mission and subsequently assessed by paramedics, then transported to hospital in a stable condition.
As part of the operation, a 16-year-old boy was apprehended at the Dural property and taken to Castle Hill police station, where investigations are continuing.
