A tragic incident in Sydney's southwest has resulted in the death of a third victim. Police were called to a residence in Rosemeadow early Sunday morning following reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of a woman in her 60s and a man in his 20s. A 64-year-old man was also found at the scene with critical head injuries.
Paramedics provided medical assistance to the injured man, who was transported to Liverpool Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries and later died. The identities of the deceased are yet to be formally confirmed. Investigators believe the victims were assaulted by an individual known to them.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently assisting police with their inquiries at Campbelltown police station. Detectives have secured the location as a crime scene and will be preparing a report for the coroner.
