A man has been charged with the murder of his wife, Kristina Joksimovic, a former Miss Switzerland finalist, almost two years after her remains were discovered in February 2024. The 43-year-old husband, identified only as Thomas, faces charges of murder and deliberate mutilation following a grim autopsy.
The autopsy revealed Joksimovic was strangled before being dismembered. Her womb was reportedly removed with care, and other body parts were puréed in an industrial blender. Investigators noted that Thomas allegedly watched YouTube videos on his phone as he dismembered his wife's body.
Thomas was arrested the day after the remains were found by his father-in-law. While he initially claimed to have found his wife dead and then dismembered her, and later confessed to the killing, medical experts found no evidence of self-defense, concluding strangulation as the cause of death.
