A domestic worker from Guduvancherry tragically died under suspicious circumstances in Koyambedu. The 53-year-old woman, identified as Santhi, collapsed while distributing promotional pamphlets near actor-politician Vijayakanth's Kalyana Mandapam.
She was reportedly working for an agent of a private hospital offering weight-loss programs. Although initially pronounced dead by hospital staff due to cardiac arrest, Santhi's son has lodged a complaint, citing suspicion over the events leading to her death.
The CMBT police have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the incident. The circumstances surrounding her collapse and subsequent death are currently under scrutiny.
