Suspect Charged with Murder in Disappearance of Kada Scott

On October 18, 2025, the body of Kada Scott, a 23-year-old woman, was discovered in a wooded area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Scott had been missing for two weeks prior to the grim discovery.

Keon King, a 21-year-old man, was arrested on October 15, 2025, just days before Scott's remains were found. King was initially charged with kidnapping in connection to Scott's disappearance, but prosecutors have now upgraded the charges to include murder, robbery, theft, firearms violations, tampering with evidence, abuse of corpse, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice.

Investigators say King's cell phone was tracked to the location where Scott's body was found, as well as to the site of a burned vehicle that authorities believe he used to "move" Scott. Prosecutors have also revealed that King has a history of alleged abusive behavior, including previous charges of kidnapping and strangulation that were later withdrawn but are expected to be refiled.
