A Delhi court has once again denied bail to Olympic wrestler Sushil Kumar, who is implicated in the murder case of former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Dhankar. The court's decision on Friday came as it heard Kumar's latest bail application.
The incident dates back to May 2021, when Sagar Dhankar and his friends were allegedly taken to Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium and assaulted. Investigators state Dhankar died from severe brain damage caused by blunt force trauma sustained during the assault. Two of his friends were also injured.
