26 Feb
Summary
- A nine-year-old girl was kidnapped and held for nine months.
- She was rescued from a rainforest in Bolivia.
- The survivor is now an advocate against child trafficking.

In August 2013, nine-year-old Nada Itrab was abducted in Spain and transported to Bolivia by a neighbor. Her harrowing nine-month ordeal included enslavement in remote areas, sexual abuse, and physical violence.
Nada was eventually rescued in February 2014 after a complex police operation. Her recovery involved extensive support, but she faced further challenges, including her parents' legal issues and navigating life as an undocumented immigrant.
Now an adult, Nada has dedicated herself to advocating against child trafficking. She aims to use her story to bring visibility to abused children and campaign for their rights, pursuing a law degree to further her advocacy.
Her journey has been supported by journalist Neus Sala, who helps Nada navigate the complexities of sharing her story publicly and seeking justice for victims.
