A shocking act of domestic violence unfolded on a busy road in Surat, Gujarat, as captured by CCTV footage. Pravinbhai Amarshibhai Golkiya, 46, reportedly intercepted his estranged wife's two-wheeler, forcibly stopped her, and then proceeded to assault her violently in full public view.
Witnesses observed Golkiya dragging the woman by her hair, punching and kicking her repeatedly. The assault continued despite attempts by bystanders to intervene. A female traffic police officer eventually arrived at the scene. Golkiya, who operates a tour and travels business, threatened to kill his wife before escaping in his car.
The victim promptly lodged a complaint with the police, leading to Golkiya's arrest within hours. Authorities stated that the couple has been separated and involved in a protracted domestic dispute currently being adjudicated in court. They share two daughters, one residing with each parent. The incident occurred unexpectedly when the couple encountered each other on Saturday.
