Bairon Hernandez, a 34-year-old man from Honduras, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following two separate subway track push incidents on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The attacks, which occurred minutes apart on Sunday, left one victim brain dead.
One of the victims, an 83-year-old Air Force veteran, underwent surgery for a brain bleed but was later declared brain dead, according to the Department of Homeland Security. The second victim, 30-year-old John Rodriguez, suffered a shoulder and neck injury and is experiencing panic attacks when thinking about the subway.
