A 21-year-old university student in Meerut survived a self-inflicted gunshot to the head after livestreaming his final moments on social media. The BCom student broadcasted a live video on Thursday evening from a canal track, expressing a desire to die without any external pressure.
During the live stream, he calmly spoke about not wanting to live, wishing no harm upon his family or friends. His friends, witnessing this alarming broadcast, immediately mobilized a search and rescue effort upon recognizing the location. They found him in distress and transported him to a police station, subsequently leading to his admission to a community health centre.
