Chandigarh Police Hunt Gunmen After Campus Shooting, Robbery

A student leader, Jashandeep Singh Jawandha, survived an attempted shooting on the Panjab University campus Tuesday evening when two gunmen fired two bullets at him. He escaped unhurt during the incident. Following the shooting, the two suspects fled the campus and later robbed a couple of their Bullet motorcycle at gunpoint near the Sector 38 dumping ground.
The Sector 11 police have registered two FIRs related to the events. One pertains to the firing incident on campus under the Arms Act, while the second addresses the motorcycle robbery. Authorities recovered a scooter abandoned by the suspects, which was found to have fake number plates. Preliminary investigations suggest there may have been four individuals involved, and CCTV footage is being reviewed.
