In Jaipur's Jhotwara area, police detained the operator and administrator of Maharana Pratap School following the suspicious death of a 17-year-old Class 12 student, Prince Soni. The student allegedly died after consuming a patty from the school canteen on Wednesday. His family claims a spoiled patty became lodged in his throat and that the school failed to provide timely medical aid.
School operator Amit Kumawat and administrator Rajendra Kumar are in custody for questioning. Relatives stated that Prince fell unconscious around 11 am and was not immediately taken to a hospital, despite one being just 100 meters away. The family alleges gross negligence by the school management and staff, suggesting prompt medical attention could have saved Prince's life. Protests erupted in the community, with shopkeepers closing businesses and residents gathering to demand action.
