According to police, a group refused to comply with lawful commands. When an officer attempted to detain BenDaDonnn, an individual identified as his security guard allegedly slapped the officer's hands away. The officer then deployed a taser, described as a less-lethal tool, to gain compliance as BenDaDonnn tried to get away.
As officers tried to take BenDaDonnn into custody, his alleged security guard, Kenny Carter, reportedly pushed the officer. Both BenDaDonnn and Carter were subsequently arrested. Carter faces a charge of Interference with Public Duties.
