Stolen Truck Used in Brazen Waste Disposal Scheme

In a concerning incident of illegal waste disposal, two people have been arrested in Staffordshire, England. According to the authorities, a large amount of waste was seen being fly-tipped at the Imperial Works industrial estate in Talke on October 29, 2025.
Further investigation revealed that the waste had been dumped by a stolen HGV truck. Two days later, the same truck was spotted dumping an additional 20 tonnes of waste, leading to the arrest of a 43-year-old man from Kent and a 19-year-old woman of no fixed address.
The man was arrested on suspicion of stealing the truck and depositing controlled waste without a permit, while the woman was later released with no further action. Insp Joel Hurst described the incident as a "brazen flouting of the law" and stated that the authorities are committed to preventing such illegal dumping practices.
