Friends are desperately seeking the return of a knitted tribute created for Martin Chadburn, a 53-year-old army veteran and Hull 4 Heroes employee. Chadburn tragically died in hospital earlier this year following an alleged assault in Hull city centre. The memorial, which depicted his military career, charity work, and love for camping, was stolen from a postbox on Southcoates Lane.
Described as 'heartbreaking' by a childhood friend, the topper took three weeks to create. The community hopes to place it on Chadburn's gravestone when he is eventually buried. Five individuals have been charged with Chadburn's murder and appeared at Hull Crown Court in April.
