Judge Demands Truth from Diggs on Alleged Assault Case

A federal judge recently mandated that NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs must offer a more thorough explanation of his connection to Christopher Griffith, an influencer alleging drugging, sexual assault, and a subsequent orchestrated attack. Diggs' prior description of Griffith as merely an "acquaintance" was found insufficient by the court.

Diggs was also directed to provide specific details about his interactions with Griffith in May 2023 and identify all individuals present at his Rockville, Maryland residence on the night in question. He has 14 days from the June 3 order to comply, facing potential sanctions.

In a significant victory for the player, the judge ruled that Diggs does not need to address questions concerning any past possession or distribution of controlled substances, a key aspect of Griffith's accusations.

Griffith's allegations stem from a May 2023 incident, claiming that after a charity basketball game, the two went to a club and then to Diggs' home, where the alleged assault occurred. Griffith further claims Diggs orchestrated an attack outside his Los Angeles apartment a week later.

Separately, Diggs was acquitted in May of assault and strangulation charges brought by his former personal chef after a two-day trial. The civil lawsuit with Griffith is ongoing.
