A figure skating club in St. Louis is in mourning after one of its coaches, 28-year-old Sam Linehan, was killed in a shooting at a Starbucks drive-thru. Linehan was a celebrated skater, having competed at juvenile, intermediate, and junior levels before representing Team USA with Synergy. She earned a Silver medal at the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in 2014 and a Gold medal in Skating Skills. Her club described the loss as heartbreaking and is focusing on supporting her family and skaters. Days before the shooting, the suspect, 58-year-old Keith Lamon Brown, allegedly committed other armed robberies. Brown was arrested on Wednesday and is facing charges related to Linehan's murder. He has an extensive criminal record dating back to 1986. A judge denied bond for Brown.
