Springfield Police Seek Duo in Art Institute Break-In

Springfield police are seeking public assistance to identify two individuals involved in a recent break-in and vandalism at the Ohio Performing Arts Institute. The incident was reported on June 10 when the owner was alerted to the damage. Upon arrival, officers discovered the interior of the institute in disarray, with furniture overturned and a fire extinguisher discharged throughout the premises.

Surveillance footage captured two suspects inside the building shortly before the security cameras were disconnected. In addition to the extensive destruction, two speakers were reported stolen. The artistic director and owner expressed frustration, highlighting that all institute income supports youth and adult dance and theater programs. Authorities have received multiple leads since releasing the suspect photos.
