A large-scale street brawl, reportedly involving around 30 youths, convulsed Southend city centre on Friday evening. This chaotic incident resulted in two teenagers requiring hospitalization for knife injuries to their faces.

A broad dispersal order was also issued, covering much of the city centre and seafront, aiming to prevent further unrest and ensure public safety.
