A woman, identified as 36-year-old Claudia Guerrero, was discovered deceased in a homeless encampment in South Los Angeles early on Thursday, March 6, 2026. Her body was found by deputies late the previous night on 87th Street, near Vermont Avenue. Authorities reported potential dog bite wounds, though the exact cause of death is pending the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's investigation.
Several dogs were observed at the scene when deputies arrived to investigate.
