He was identified as a person of interest and subsequently arrested on December 27 by the Missouri State Highway Patrol near Concordia, Missouri, after attempting to flee and crashing his vehicle.
Nguyen was initially charged with felony fleeing but later faced additional charges of murder with intent to kill or injure and concealment of homicidal death on New Year's Eve. He is currently held at the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department pending transfer to Illinois.
