Soldier Admits Sharing Intimate Photos, Faces Jail

A serving soldier from the Grenadier Guards has pleaded guilty to two serious offenses, including sharing intimate photographs and harassment. Charley Marshall, aged 20, admitted to sharing intimate images of a person with the intent to cause alarm or humiliation. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment without violence against the same victim between March and June of last year.

During a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates' Court, Marshall was warned by the District Judge that custody was a possibility as the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report. Marshall, who was 19 at the time of the offenses, has been granted bail under strict conditions, prohibiting contact with the victim and entry to a specific road. His legal representative acknowledged that the offenses could lead to a custodial sentence and jeopardize his military career.
