A lengthy evasion by a convicted drug dealer has concluded with a substantial prison sentence. Connor Stewart, 23, had admitted to conspiracy charges involving heroin and crack cocaine in the coastal town of Skegness.
Stewart initially pleaded guilty but then disappeared, failing to attend his scheduled sentencing hearing in February. Law enforcement actively pursued him for seven months before locating him in the Bulwell area of Nottingham.
Appearing at Lincoln Crown Court, Stewart received a sentence of six years and seven months. His capture and sentencing bring a close to his period of abscondment following his confession to serious drug supply offenses.
