Newlyweds Flee Village After Bride's Family Attacks Groom's Home

In a shocking incident, a love marriage between a young couple in Sirsa village has led to a violent feud between their families. According to the police complaint, the bride's relatives attacked and vandalized the groom's house after the couple married in a temple against the family's wishes.

The couple, Akriti (19) and Vikram (22), were neighbors who had developed a romantic relationship. In June, they reportedly eloped and got married, later obtaining a marriage certificate from Hansi. However, this did not sit well with Akriti's family, who allegedly threatened the groom's family, demanding that their daughter be sent back home.

Fearing retaliation, the groom's family has now reportedly fled the village. Akriti, who has sided with her husband, has lodged a complaint with the superintendent of police, accusing her own family members of theft and vandalism. Based on her complaint, the police have registered a theft case against Akriti's relatives.
