Three masked assailants discharged several rounds of gunfire outside the home of Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu in Pharwahi village, Barnala district. The shooting took place early Sunday morning, captured by CCTV footage at approximately 1:33 AM.
At the time of the incident, Gulab Sidhu was reportedly not present at his residence, having traveled to Australia. This is not the first instance of the singer being targeted; he had previously received police protection due to earlier threats.
Authorities are actively investigating the shooting. The singer had a past dispute with the village sarpanch, Baljinder Singh, who was subsequently arrested. The recent event has heightened concerns for Sidhu's safety.
