Singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada recently became the target of severe online harassment, receiving a morphed nude image of herself. She promptly reported the incident to the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, highlighting an alarming escalation of abuse and threats she and her family have faced over the past few weeks.

Sripada revealed that the harassment intensified after her husband, Rahul Ravindran, made a public comment about the 'mangalsutra'. This led to a surge in trolling, with the singer also reporting death threats against her children and disturbing comments made by individuals on social media platforms. She has previously spoken out about facing harassment from a lyricist.

Emphasizing the growing threat of deepfakes and AI-generated attacks, Sripada stated her intention to not be shamed by such acts and encouraged other women and parents to take legal recourse against perpetrators. Her actions underscore the critical need to address online abuse and protect individuals, particularly women, from digital forms of harassment.
