Shropshire Man Jailed for £100k Heroin Haul

Ryan Preece, 42, has been jailed for four years after being found in possession of heroin valued at almost £100,000 at his home in Ludlow, Shropshire. The discovery was made when West Mercia Police executed a raid on the property in June. Alongside the significant heroin haul, officers also found cocaine worth £2,800 and £2,700 in cash.

The raid also uncovered two axes and mobile phones indicative of drug supply operations. Preece pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin, acquiring criminal property, and possessing cocaine with intent to supply. He received his sentence at Shrewsbury Crown Court on December 12.

Caroline Bradley, 47, who resided at the same address, admitted to permitting the use of her premises for cocaine supply. She was given a one-week sentence, but due to time already served on remand, she was released. The heroin, weighing 998g, was found concealed within a designer handbag.
