Summary
- A woman died and a man was critically injured in a locked room fire.
- Police broke down the door to access the couple after the incident.
- An FIR was filed against the man for allegedly luring the woman away.

A tragic incident occurred in Shikohabad town, Firozabad district, where a couple was found engulfed in flames inside a room locked from the inside. The 18-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries, while the 20-year-old man, suffering from approximately 70 percent burns, was transferred to a hospital in Agra. He remains in critical condition.
Authorities were alerted to the situation and had to force entry into the room. Both individuals were promptly transported to a trauma center in Firozabad. The woman was pronounced deceased the following morning. The man's grave condition necessitated his transfer to the burn ward at SN Medical College Hospital in Agra for ongoing treatment.
Prior to the fire, the woman's maternal uncle had filed an FIR against the man, accusing him of luring her away. This led to a case being registered under Section 87 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The woman had reportedly left her home after an argument with her mother and her mobile phone was switched off.
She later met the man and returned to her residence in Shikohabad. Although her family members arrived at the house and found it empty, local residents reported seeing her with the man earlier that day. The couple was discovered with severe burn injuries late Friday night after police were alerted.
The deceased woman had lost her father and lived with her mother. She had reportedly met the man in Mainpuri district during a school vacation, where they apparently became acquainted.
