- Authorities believe a digital hack of the transport company aided the thieves
- O'Neal cooperating with police to locate the stolen vehicle

On October 23, 2025, it was reported that former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal's brand new $180,000 Range Rover had been stolen in transit. According to the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was being transported from Georgia to Louisiana by Effortless Motors when the theft occurred.
Authorities believe a digital hack of the car transport company's data may have aided the thieves in stealing O'Neal's luxury SUV. The sheriff's office stated that a tow truck registered to Griffin Wrecker Service LLC was involved in transporting the vehicle to an address in Atlanta, but the person believed to have coordinated the theft has not yet been fully identified.
O'Neal, who had recently customized the car to fit his 7-foot-1 frame, is cooperating with police in their ongoing investigation to locate the stolen vehicle. Effortless Motors, the transport company, is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the Range Rover.
