Swift Justice: Sex Offender Nabbed Hours After Release
17 Jul
Summary
- Registered sex offender arrested less than 12 hours after prison release.
- He violated probation by failing to report to his officer.
- Pardo received an additional 10 years in state prison.

Gabriel Pardo, a 45-year-old registered sexual predator, has been sentenced to an additional 10 years in state prison. This sentence follows his arrest less than 12 hours after being released from prison. Pardo was released around 10:17 p.m. on June 18 and was mandated to report to a probation office the following morning.
Instead of reporting, Pardo traveled over six miles to an address where he had previously committed sexual abuse against minors. GPS data from his ankle monitor confirmed his location after he failed to appear for his probation appointment. He was taken into custody while walking on Old Kings Road.
Authorities confirmed that there was no indication Pardo entered the home or contacted its current residents, who are not his former victims. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly commended the rapid response, stating, "Every person involved played an important role in ensuring this dirtbag was held accountable." Pardo's sentence includes 15 years of sex offender probation following his prison term.
