Rapper Combs Shares Thanksgiving Joy from Prison

Sean Combs, incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix, took the initiative to organize and personally fund a Thanksgiving feast for his fellow inmates. Working with a group called Bankroll Bosses, Combs sourced food from the prison commissary, dedicating two days to preparation. The meals, featuring turkey roast, mashed potatoes, and corn, were distributed across all housing units despite limitations like using ID cards for cutting and the absence of stoves. Combs stated his belief that Thanksgiving is about ensuring others eat and coming together as a family.

Following his sentencing in the summer to four years and two months in prison for Mann Act violations, Combs was transferred to Fort Dix in October. He was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and undergo supervised release. Despite the circumstances, Combs shared a positive perspective on his prison experience, highlighting the strong sense of brotherhood and mutual support among inmates.

Combs described the prison environment as one where individuals look out for each other, calling it a "positive thing" and "a little bit of home in a dark place." His efforts to bring holiday cheer and a sense of normalcy to his fellow inmates underscore his commitment to community, even while incarcerated.
