Gangland Firebombs: Three Admit Attacks
26 Mar
Summary
- Three men admitted firebombing houses and a business linked to a rival crime family.
- CCTV and doorbell footage, including burning trainers, led to the men's arrest.
- The judge condemned the attacks as "sheer naked gangsterism".

Three men have pleaded guilty to involvement in firebomb attacks during a violent gangland feud across Scotland's central belt. Marshall O'Hara, Fraser Stewart, and Aiden McLaughlin targeted houses and a carpet firm associated with the Daniel crime family. These incidents occurred between April 7 and 14 last year.
The men were apprehended due to significant evidence from CCTV and doorbell cameras. Footage captured incriminating moments, including one of the attackers' footwear igniting as he fled a blaze. The court heard that petrol bombs were thrown, and vehicles were set alight, causing extensive damage.
Judge Lord Mulholland described the actions as "sheer naked gangsterism" during the High Court hearing in Glasgow. The three men, who were remanded in custody, will be sentenced in May. Their involvement was part of "Operation Portaledge," a police investigation into escalating gang violence in the region.
