16 Jan
Summary
- A school employee faces child pornography charges after images were found on his social media.
- The employee worked with autistic and non-verbal children in Shrewsbury public schools.
- Parents question school safety and background checks after the arrest.

Aiden York, a 19-year-old employee for Shrewsbury, Massachusetts public schools, has been arrested and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of dissemination of visual material of a child. Police discovered the images on his Snapchat account. York worked as an ABA technician paraeducator and in extended school care programs at multiple schools within the district.
The arrest has caused distress among parents, particularly those whose children had direct contact with York. Brittany and Jeremy Hilton expressed their shock and concern, as York worked one-on-one daily with their autistic, non-verbal 11-year-old son. They are questioning how such an individual passed a background check and infiltrated the school system.
Shrewsbury Public Schools Superintendent stated the district will fully cooperate with the Lunenburg Police Department's investigation and conduct its own internal review. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have indicated it is not currently connected to any students at the schools involved.
