Summary
- New evidence, including gloves, found in missing mother's case.
- Neighbors within a 2-mile radius asked to submit video footage.
- Family refused to meet $4 million and $6 million ransom demands.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department announced on Thursday that investigators have discovered new evidence, including gloves, in the ongoing search for Savannah Guthrie's missing mother, Nancy. This development follows the FBI's release of footage of a masked and gloved suspect. Authorities are now asking residents within a two-mile radius of Nancy Guthrie's Tucson home to submit any relevant video footage from January 1 to February 2, 2026.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on the evening of January 31, 2026. She was reported missing on February 1, 2026, after failing to attend a planned virtual church service with friends. Her home was subsequently declared a crime scene. The family has declined to meet two separate ransom demands, initially for $4 million and later increased to $6 million.
Savannah Guthrie, who has been on leave from the Today show since February 2, 2026, along with her siblings, has pleaded for their mother's safe return. The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Department are urging anyone with information to contact them, with a reward of up to $50,000 offered for information leading to Nancy's recovery or the arrest of those involved.
